Cashmere Saint Newton is the son of former NFL quarterback Cam Newton and Kia Proctor. He is the youngest of the four children Newton and Proctor share, rather than Newton’s youngest child overall.
When Was Cashmere Saint Newton Born?
PEOPLE lists Cashmere’s birth date as September 30, 2019. Based on that reported date, he turned seven on September 30, 2026.
The timing of his birth and the announcement of his name are separate. Proctor shared an early photograph of her baby in October 2019, then revealed his full name in December. The October photograph should not be treated as evidence of an October birthday.
How Was His Name Announced?
On December 18, 2019, PEOPLE and theJasmineBRAND reported that Proctor had introduced her son as Cashmere Saint Newton on Instagram.
The photograph showed mother and son wearing matching red plaid pajamas beside a Christmas tree. Proctor’s caption contained his name and a heart emoji.
The announcement identified him by name but did not explain why his parents chose “Cashmere Saint.” A specific explanation of its intended meaning would require a statement from either parent.
Who Are His Siblings?
Cashmere has three older siblings who share both of his parents:
- Chosen Sebastian
- Sovereign-Dior Cambella
- Camidas Swain
He also has an older maternal half-sister, Shakira, Proctor’s daughter from an earlier relationship.
Cashmere’s position within the family needs a little precision. He is Newton and Proctor’s fourth child together, but Newton also has children from other relationships. Us Weekly’s family guide reports that Newton and Jasmin Brown welcomed their second child together in 2025. Describing Cashmere simply as “Cam Newton’s youngest son” is therefore inaccurate.
