Kristopher Steven Keach, also known as Kris Keach, is the son of actress Jane Seymour and actor and filmmaker James Keach. A former professional baseball pitcher, he now works in the investment industry at Gabelli. His background includes college athletics, an MBA, and financial work involving athletes and entertainers.
His story also includes a family of his own: he married Miso in celebrations in California and South Korea, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2025. Understanding his career means looking beyond celebrity biographies to the university records, baseball coverage, and employer profiles that document his work.

His Family and Early Years in Malibu
Kristopher and his twin brother, John Stacy Keach, were born on November 30, 1995. Their mother, Jane Seymour, is known for Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, while their father, James Keach, has worked as an actor and filmmaker.
Malibu was central to Kristopher’s early athletic life. His official Cal State LA biography lists Malibu as his hometown and Malibu High School as his high school. There, he competed in baseball, basketball, and soccer.
That athletic record provides a more specific picture of his youth than the familiar description of a celebrity’s son. Baseball became a sustained pursuit, taking him through college competition and into a professional team in Arizona.
From College Baseball to the Tucson Saguaros
His College Playing Career
Cal State LA’s athletics archive lists Kristopher Keach on its 2018 baseball roster as a right-handed pitcher and designated hitter.
During his season with the Golden Eagles, he made four pitching appearances, throwing 6⅓ innings and recording nine strikeouts. His February 24 debut against Cal State East Bay included a scoreless inning with two strikeouts and no hits or walks allowed.
Before Cal State LA, he played at College of the Canyons, where he earned second-team All-Western State-East Conference honors. These records establish that his baseball background involved competitive college play, not simply a recreational interest.
Professional Baseball in Arizona
Keach later pitched for the Tucson Saguaros in the independent Pecos League. The team’s 2019 season records list 19 pitching appearances, four starts, and 58 strikeouts in 37 innings.
A July 2019 visit from Seymour brought the family connection onto the field. The Arizona Daily Star covered her appearance at Cherry Field, where she warmed up with her son before throwing the ceremonial first pitch.
Keach then pitched a scoreless inning in relief during that evening’s game.
His professional experience should be described accurately: he played independent baseball with Tucson. That accomplishment should not be confused with a Major League Baseball playing career.
What Does Kristopher Keach Do Now?
Gabelli’s current staff biography identifies Keach as an investment advisor representative and external wholesaler covering Southern California. His responsibilities include presenting investment offerings to financial professionals, and he also serves as a team leader in the Gabelli Sports Marketing Group.
His employer states that he earned both his bachelor’s degree and MBA from Marymount California University, graduating summa cum laude in each program.
Gabelli introduced him as a new team member in a video published on October 21, 2024. In its accompanying announcement, the company described his earlier work advising athletes on personal finance, business opportunities, and contract management.
That sports connection helps explain the transition between his two careers. His work after baseball has included financial services for people navigating professional athletics.
Why Some Biographies Still Mention Cardinal Capital
Earlier profiles identify Cardinal Capital Management as Keach’s employer. That reflects a previous stage of his career.
His investment adviser registration history records an association with Cardinal Capital Management from August 2023 through September 2024. Gabelli’s subsequent announcement and current staff page document his move.
Employment dates and regulatory registration dates serve different purposes, so they should not automatically be treated as identical. For readers trying to understand his present role, Gabelli’s own biography supplies the clearest description.
His Marriage to Miso and Their Daughter
Kris and Miso married in Malibu in December 2021, then celebrated with another ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, in July 2022.
The two dates refer to celebrations of the same marriage. They are not evidence of separate relationships.
PEOPLE’s coverage of the Seoul ceremony described Seymour wearing a custom-made hanbok, a traditional Korean garment, to honor her daughter-in-law’s heritage. Family photographs captured the couple celebrating with Seymour.
On June 12, 2025, Seymour announced the arrival of the couple’s first child, a daughter named Kristie Love Keach. PEOPLE covered the announcement that day. June 12 is the date of the public announcement; it should not automatically be presented as the baby’s exact birth date.
